Frequently Asked Questions

Is Property Guide of Virginia a real estate brokerage?

No, Property Guide of Virginia is not a brokerage.

We operate as a concierge, managed by a licensed real estate agent, designed to help you navigate your options and connect with the right professionals for your situation.

As a concierge, our role is to start with you. We take the time to understand your goals, answer your questions, and help you think through your next move, whether that’s buying, selling, renting, or waiting.

From there, we connect you with the best-fit agent from our network based on your specific needs. Instead of working with whoever you happen to find, you’re matched with someone aligned with your goals, property type, and timeline.

We also support the process with our marketing platform, including Buyer Guides and local resources that help you better understand homes, neighborhoods, and what to expect as you move forward.

In short, we don’t replace the agent. We help you find the right one and give you the tools and support to make more confident decisions along the way.

For buyers and sellers, we offer a complimentary agent-matching service. When you're ready, reach out to Jake Anderson at jake@propertyguideva.com to get started.

How can you help me with buying a home?

Think of this as a concierge approach to buying a home.

It starts with a conversation. Most buyers come to us weighing different options. You might be asking yourself whether to buy now or wait, rent a little longer, or figure out what’s realistic based on your goals and finances.

We begin with a consultation to understand your situation and talk through those options. This isn’t a sales call, and there’s no pressure to move forward. The goal is to help you make the right decision for yourself.

From there, we act as your concierge. As a licensed real estate agent with access to an experienced network, we connect you with the best-fit agent for your specific situation. Not just someone available, but someone aligned with your goals.

If you move forward with buying, you’ll also benefit from our Buyer Guides and local resources, designed to give you a deeper understanding of each home and help you move forward with confidence.

How can you help me with selling a home?

We approach selling through a concierge model designed to help you make the right move.

It starts with a consultation. Many homeowners are deciding between selling, renting, or waiting. You may not even be sure if now is the right time.

We take the time to understand your situation and walk through your options with you. There’s no pressure to list your home. The goal is to give you clarity so you can make a confident decision.

If selling makes sense, we step in as your concierge. That means connecting you with the right agent from our network based on your property, timeline, and goals.

From there, we support the process with our marketing platform, including elevated listing presentation through our Buyer Guides. These are designed to help buyers better understand your home, which leads to stronger interest and more confident offers.

What does it cost for local businesses and organizations to be featured in your Buyer Guides?

There is no cost to be featured.

All content within our Buyer Guides is editorial, not advertising. We do not sell placements or sponsored spots.

Property Guide of Virginia is compensated through real estate commissions and service fees to agents who buy our marketing products, which allows us to focus entirely on creating value for our clients rather than selling ad space. The guides are designed to support the buying and selling experience, and including great local businesses and organizations is part of that.

Whether it’s a nonprofit, networking group, or community resource, each feature is selected based on its relevance and usefulness to someone moving into the area.

This keeps the guides authentic, trustworthy, and focused on helping people get connected, not promoting paid placements.

If you're interested in being featured in our community section for buyer guides, please reach out to Jake Anderson at jake@propertyguideva.com.

How are home service professionals included in your Pro Network?

Home service professionals are included through recommendations from agents within our network.

We don’t accept paid placements or open submissions for these categories. Instead, agents contribute their trusted vendors based on real experience working together.

This ensures that every contractor or service provider featured has been vetted through actual use, not just visibility. It’s a more reliable way for homeowners to find the right people when they need help maintaining or improving their home.

What areas of Virginia do you currently serve?

We are currently focused on Central Virginia.

Property Guide of Virginia officially launched in January 2026, and we’re starting by building strong coverage throughout the Greater Richmond area and surrounding counties. This includes Richmond and nearby areas such as Louisa, King & Queen, and King William.

We’re also expanding soon to serve communities south of Richmond, including the Tri-Cities region of Petersburg, Hopewell, and Colonial Heights, along with Dinwiddie County.

As we continue to grow, our goal is to expand across more regions of Virginia while maintaining the same level of quality, local insight, and trusted connections that define the platform.
